Citywide Employment's mission is to provide employment services for individuals recovering from a mental illness often complicated by persistent homelessness, substance abuse, chronic medical problems and criminal justice involvement.
Employment Placement Assistance
Our Employment Team is embedded within the larger clinical case management program and uses the Individual Placement and Support Model (IPS) of Supported Employment. IPS is a well-researched, evidenced-based approach demonstrating significant results for people with a mental illness to secure competitive employment.

Eligibility Requirements
- 18 years and older
- Have a mental health diagnosis
- Receiving mental health services
- San Francisco resident
- Valid Identification Card
- Social Security Card
Cooperative Partner to SF Department of Rehabilitation:
Through this partnership the Citywide Employment Program serves any consumer of mental health services in San Francisco interested in employment services. Moreover, the team specializes in working with persons with a criminal justice history or with pending legal charge. Total service capacity is 170 clients.
